Input Masks and Mobile Credit Card Processing for Dunkin Donuts

Dunkin Donuts Credit Card Processing Actions on Mobile Devices:

Project: Mobile credit card processing for Dunkin Donuts. Improve the success of form submission by diminishing fields and correction frustration for entering payment method.

Goal: to design a usable and trustworthy credit card checkout experience for mobile users without forms

Solution: Input Masks Design – Input masks integrate formatting cues directly into an input field to help signal how to correctly answer a question. These formatting instructions are automatically included in an input and cannot be removed by a user. More importantly, a user cannot enter other non-valid characters into the input field.

Since mobile is about touch, there are many limitations to long forms. These mockups outline the process of bypassing these traditional forms for payments and captures personal information from the payment provider and auto-populates the fields.  This greatly reduced abandoned carts and made paying simple. Please note: this was created before many of the modern one-touch payment services, but at the time it was a solid improvement to what was available.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
