Desktop to Mobile, XPO Logistics – Last Mile Application for Delivery Drivers

Examples of Ship XPO Last Mile Delivery App (Desktop/Mobile)

Date: November 2018

Project: To design a visually appealing interface for delivery drivers to track, report ETAs, choose routes and anticipate delays. Expand style guides and design patterns for mobile.

Summary: This interface allows for management of last mile deliveries from the warehouse to the customer. Drivers and logistic managers use the application for desktop and mobile to manage routes and estimate times of arrival (ETAs), which allows the customer to anticipate and schedule deliveries.

My role: XPO uses Google’s Material Design theming with slight variations for personalized expression without deviating from the good usability. Infield research revealed a need for verble notifications and reduced time interacting with the mobile app.  I proposed a more visually accessible circular progress indicator, providing easier consumption of information for active drivers. It is used here in the desktop version and works equally well in mobile.
